New member from Oregon…and gonna need a lot of help.
Hello all,
I just inherited my father’s 1973 XJ12. He had it for 30+ years. It was his third Jag after a XJ6 and he had a brand new E type in the 60’s. This was rebuilt about 30 years ago after the 12cyl finally died. He put a Chevy 350 in it, had the interior done and a new paint job. I remember it being pretty solid back then. But over the years it’s steadily gone downhill. It hadn’t run for about four years and the four before that he started messing with things and he really didn’t know what he was doing (Alzheimer’s). So now it’s in my hands to rebuild and get back up to snuff. I got it running fine, but the interior needs a bit of work. There’s some wires hanging down under the dash and I don’t know where they go and it only blows hot air out of the vents. Hopefully this forum can help me get stuff sorted. Looking forward to the process.

Hello,
Many of us drive Converted Jags with Chevy 350s in them. Your biggest problem, as you have surmised, is What Did He Mess With??
My own car, I've had very little trouble with the Chevy stuff, but the Jag stuff, especially climate control, can give you many sleepless nights. Fortunately, most of us have had our hands on Every Single CC related component and can guide you through this maze.
