Hello everyone, recently purchased my first jaguar off a repo auction. It's a 2003 xj8 with 90k miles. Has just a few problems. Had 7 engine codes, when I start driving it gives an error of gearbox fault, occasionally throws a restricted performance code as well when trying to accelerate hard. Driver's seat power doesn't work, neither does he power steering wheel control. Interestingly, when I change between preset modes the steering wheel does move in and out, but not up and down, and won't move at all with the control. Driver's door doesn't unlock when the car turns off, and some other electronics don't work like the trunk opening button or door locks and valet mode. Dash also has some problems, gas gauge seems to have a mind of its own. Speedometer is stuck at 170 mph, sometimes it'll move with the speed but mostly just doesn't move. Exterior has one or two deep scratches and the hood has some spots where it looks like the clear is separating from the paint. Hood ornament is also missing. Should be an interesting project, Will probably be asking a few questions on here since where I live there aren't any shops that know anything about Jaguars.
