Smile New Member - Susan with suspension problem on XJR

Hi,

My name is Susan, I am a Business Broker and Real Estate Broker living in Kissimmee, Florida, where I moved to from the United Kingdom some 24 years ago. I help people from all over the world who are looking to relocate to the United States by helping them find suitable Visa qualifying businesses.

I have owned Jaguar cars now for 40 years and the lovely vehicle I now have, which is black, has developed a quirky problem by dropping the front end when it is cold.

I was shocked when I took it to a Jaguar Dealer and they presented me with an estimate of almost $9,500. I have a couple of friends who are very experienced mechanics scratching their heads as this car rights itself if I turn it on an off say two or three times and then remains ok during the day, however, next morning it is doing it again.

I love my Jag, have had them for many many years. I think it is great to have a forum where people can help each other.

I look forward to reading comments from anyone who is kind enough to help me.
thank you and Merry Xmas to all.

By the way, I had the wonderful pleasure of visiting the Jaguar Factory almost 30 years ago when my husband purchased me a bright red XJS convertible with a V.12 Engine. I really loved that car it roared.(funny as I am not really a fast driver).

Again thanks for any help you can give me.

Kind regards Susan

Welcome to the forum Susan,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I would have copied this question to X350 tech forum for you but I see you have already posted it there. I'm sure members with the same model will be able to advise on lower cost repair solutions.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Lower Atlantic - NC SC FL GA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Susan,
It's good to read about a long time Jaguar owner.
Doubtless someone here will be able to help your mechanics fix your car for a lot less than $9500!!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Enjoy the forum and best of luck finding a solution to that quirky suspension issue.
