Default New X Type owner

Hi to all, just purchased a 2002 Jaguar x Type Sport 3.0 Automatic (128k miles) a few months ago. I always like the body style and the similarities with the big brother Jaguar but was a little worry about possible reliabilities problems. But I am OK working with cars so I decided to take the challenge after searching for a while for one I found a Xtype that looks like brand new for a reasonable amount. So far very good and every body ask me if I bought a brand new car. I am glad that there is a forum with lots of knowledgeable people that are willing to share their experience fixing their car with others. Thank all.

Congratulations on your 'new' Jaguar!
You can always expect some repairs with a 13 or 14 year old car, ANY 13 or 14 year old car. If you're not afraid of a wrench you'll do well with it.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
