Hello from Michigan. I recently purchased a 1995 Xj6. I am new to jaguars but could not pass up this deal. The car was listed for sale for $1500 with only 70k miles. It is in great condition just needs/needed some tlc from sitting in a garage. So far I have not needed to do much other than just small repairs like brakes, new rear view mirror, cup holder. The repair I am doing now is the oil pump chain. I dropped the oil pan looking for the cause of a knocking/ticking noise from the lower end. I expected to find a bad rod bearing or connecting rod. So far it seems to be the oil pump chain has lots of slack. As I continue to work my way through the car I am sure I will be thanking you for more great information!
