Default Newbie saying Hi !

Hi Fellas,

Im Pete from Rotherham , South Yorkshire. Spent 20 years in the motor industry , mostly body repair and latterly Insurance Technical claims engineer (mostly dealing in theft and fraud) before changing careers.

I mostly carry out service and diagnostic jobs these days around my normal day job and have dealership level diagnostic for BMW , Peugeot , Citroen and Renault but also cover most other makes.

I mostly frequent the Peugeot Forum but have just bought the JLR Mongoose and when Googling the Net it keeps bringing me here (still earning with it!) , got some good advice so thought I'd join to contribute

Welcome to the forum Pete,

Good to hear you've already found useful information here.

The Mongoose is becoming increasingly popular with members. You'll find the main thread on this and other scantools here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...-%2A%2A-33347/ in the General Tech section.

You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

Thanks Graham,

I had an hour with it this afternoon on a friends LR Sport (meant to say still LEARNING with it above!) , read all the DTC's and problems but I could not find anywhere on the screen to delete them

It just wont progress past reading the codes.

Will have a read through the links to see where im going wrong

I use AutoEnginuity with the Jaguar enhancement but am considering getting Mongoose for the additional capabilities. I'll follow your progress on the thread in General Tech section.
