I just found this website while searching for some Jag parts. I'm finding it a little difficult to navigate some bear with me. I'm an old guy in Reno with a 1976 XJ6C. How'd you guess. I've had it for over 10 years and I'm starting to fix some of its issues, oil leaks, upholstery, etc. Just sold a couple of old cars so have a couple of extra bucks, most of which are going into my 64 Avanti. Look forward to some interesting stuff here. Thanks.

my 64 Avanti
As in "Studebaker Avanti" I assume. This was a fantastic car in terms of its design, and I have only ever seen one on the road in the UK, and that was a very long time ago, about 1963/64, I think.

Thanks guys. I've got an 1976 Jaguar XJ6C in guards red with biscuit interior. The Avanti is indeed a Studebaker, 1964, Stude made them in 63-64 then they became the Avanti II. If someone will point me in the right direction I'll add my car make/model to me signature.

Lots of things have happened since my initial post. My lady friend of 10+ years had a mild stroke but has balance and vision issues and doesn't drive. I move in with her in San Diego, Jan, 2015. Sold the XJ6C to a guy in Taiwan. Bought a 2005 XK8 convert, light blue and white. So moving on to a newer car.

Welcome.

Not good to hear of the lady friends issue, never a good thing.

Moving the "C" on is probably the sensible thing, as time now will be paramount with her care.

The "Modern" Jag will serve you well.
