Cool Purchasing a 1997 XJ6L

It has 181,000 miles but it had been "resprayed" and has a "glass top" extremely hard coat. It runs well and will be mine as soon as I finish paying the private party another $2,500.00 USD. I have been both a Porschephile and a Jaguar fan since I was a boy (some 56 years ago at the age of 10). I daily drive a 2003 Lincoln Town car and just made a 2300 mile trek to Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. (I have friends that own businesses on Revolution Avenue and love to dine at the Hotel Caesar (where the Caesar Salad was Crated on July 4th,1924).
Eating giant prawns on Tijuana Beach ($2.75 for 6) and Lobster at El Grullo Restaurant in Puerto Nuevo (about 30 miles Southwest of old Tijuana on Mexican Federal Highway # 1).

I want to drive down again, but in the "new to me" Jaguar. (Pretty cool, eh)?

Thank you. I enjoy my Lincoln Town Car, but I think that the X330 will be both impressive and rather exclusive. There were only 203 of the XJ6L (X330) models made. There's something about the care that impressed me so much that I'm willing to pay $5500 USD for the machine. The ride is of "limousine" quality and is smooth as glass. It will run up to 80 mph quickly without any hesitation. It is a "long-distance runner" if I have ever driven one.

I think it will be a lot of fun.

The L is for "Limousine". But I think that's pretty obvious! Enough space in back for real adults. The roar of the straight six is lovely. Have fun with the new car. Welcome to the Jaguar Forums.

Welcome to the forums captainobvious1,

That sounds my kind of Jaguar destination.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northwest-64/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
