Default theft leaves my 04 cat crippled

i recently had my 04 jaguar xtype broken into and in the process the thief cut the wire connectors that connect to the climate control panel (or module?) any how when I was installing my aftermarket headunit I noticed that the car will not start or do anything for that matter unless these are connected... with no way of getting the connectors back i was able to come across a jaguar x type 2.5 don't know the year but it had the climate control panel and i was able to acquire it along with the connectors.. once I got home I thought I could just connector the wires by colors but they do not match im left with a blue on the connector where the harness is green I also have 1 extra black wire on the harness than the connector does.. not wanting to ruin my cat I have yet to try and start it in fear that i will kill her completely... if anyone could point me in the direction of a pin layout for the connectors Im pretty sure I could breath some life back into my cat by repinning the one I got from the junkyard.. i just recently purchased the car and have done so much and recently came across some 20 inch senta rims and i was going to try and become one of the few to fit them on my cat.. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!!!

Welcome.

The people in the X Type Tech Section will know what to do.

There may even be a wiring schematics in the "stickies" at the top of that section.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum My1stjagxtype04,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Sorry to hear about the theft. There's several different X-Type control panels listed in the parts catalogue depending on VIN range. Although it would be simpler to get a matching one, members with the same model will be able to advise on the pin outs.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
