Default 01 3.0 coolant cross over pipe

One of the tees broke off of my coolant cross over pipe, the pipe with my bleed valve on it. Any suggestions on where I can get a replacement.

Forum has sponsors who supply parts. Or dealer.

Call Dan at Nalley Jaguar. Great guy to work with and ships fast. He's a forum sponsor. Make sure you mention you found him from the forums and that you are a member, you'll get a discount.

Oh and tell him I say hello. I have his email too if you need it.

I was changing the DCCV and started checking all the coolant lines and the one at the bleed broke off. I panicked and started this post. After I started the post I relaxed and started searching the part. I didn't realize that it was the same part that George told me to change in a previous thread the upper radiator hose. Thanks for the responses.

BTW:Which is the best way to remove the DCCV from the car out the top or bottom. All hoses and the electrical plug are disconnected. Ran out of time and left it for tomorrow.

Did you disconnect the hoses from the valve or the quick disconnects? If you have the hoses attached at the valve take the belly pan and front part off (hope you have a good set of torx bits) and drop it out the bottom. Feed it back in the same way.

Did you get replacement hoses? I told you they are brittle and should be changed.

George,
I removed the three quick connects and the other hoses left all 5 hoses on the DCCV. ,Un bolted the DCCV, so I could raise it up to gain access to the electrical plug. Removed the electrical plug. Raised the DCCV up and removed the 2 hoses from the front of the DCCV. Then I pulled the DCCV out the top not the bottom. With the DCCV removed from the car I swapped the front three quick connect hoses 1 at time to the new DCCV. Lowered it back down into the car put the remaing 2 hoses back on plugged in the electrical plug put the hoses back on.--- had to stop to eat dinner but all I have left to do is bolt the new DCCV back on.

BTW: Quick connect seals--one had 2 o-rings in it; one had 1 o-ring and plastic ring;and the last one had nothing. Do you happened to know what goes seals are supposed to be in the quick connect.

Not sure on that... I don't really remember. Your DCCV is a little bit different than mine - I have the later 3 hose version. Only has the two quick disconnects, to both heater cores, and a supply hose from that lower radiator hose matrix, and the electrical connector. Maybe someone with an 00-02 can chime in here.

Take care,

George

My car had 2 quick disconnects, not 3. I believe (but don't quote me on this), that both had O-rings in them. I did my DCCV last March, so it's been a while.

Take care,

George

BTW: Did not notice any external coolant stains on the DCCV, I'm going to disassemble it and take a look around.

Yeah, they aren't THAT bad... Mine was first replaced in March 2010 with 88k miles at the time. My car is an 03. I'm sure this is the first time yours has been replaced as well.

Take care,

George

I'll be replacing the upper radiator hose when it comes in. (hopefully soon, my wife wants her car back!)

I have the JTIS but I'm having a hard time finding part numbers, Maybe I'm using it wrong. Where do you find your part numbers?

Funny you ask, I just posted the entire Electronic Parts catalog on my server:

Go here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...22&postcount=1

You need Winrar to extract it..

Once you have done that and extracted it go here and follow this to set it up:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...7&postcount=30

I still need to get a working copy of JTIS. If you have that you could burn into an .iso or a .rar and ftp up to a server, let me know.

Take care,

George

Give me directions and I'll do it. I believe my JTIS goes up to 2005
