06 STR engine malfunction, restricted perf
I have an 06 STR, last night i finally took it out for a spin and at first everything seemed okay. I opened it up went up to about 70 hard acceleration and **** hit the fan. Engine malfunction came on, dts not available came up, park brake fault came up. Parking brake works and set everytime i set it. These are the codes I got off the ecm, P0222, P2105 and P0122. A few days before I tried starting my jag, battery was low, car did a bunch of weard stuff with the electronics. Checked battery, it was bad. AS the car sits now, if started is has a rough idle/stubble. Does not accelerate past 2000 rpm. If driven, does not go faster that 18 mph. I also scanned all the other computers and most of them had an entry for battery voltage being out of range. Any help woud be appreciated. I tried downloading trouble codes doc from the FAQ section, link is dead.

Why did the battery go bad? Maybe water/damp in trunk, failed alternator, some circuit draining the battery even when off. See the many threads about these things.
Also, check power & ground connections are clean (take apart to do it) and tight.

The reason battery is dead/weak was this car has been a rebuild in progress since end of April 2010. I original charged the battery that came in the car (original jaguar) and ran the car with initial start-up end of 2010, everything ran perfect. So since that time car was sitting with out being ran. I tried starting it a few days ago, battery was low. After trying to charge old battery I decided to replace with a new one (don't know how long car sat with dead battery at collision auction before I purchased it). Battery I put in now, is only a day old. Its giving me all these codes, car as rough idle/studded when idling. I pulled battery out and tested it, reads at 12.5 volts. I have it on the charger now. Will update Monday whether or not the voltage solves some if not all of my problems. Thanks for all the input so far.

Problem has been solved. I dont know if the battery was the culprit or not. What i did was charged the battery, disconnected and reconnected all of the wiring around the throttle body. I also cheked my positive wire conection points, made sure they were not loose or corroded. I did find some moisture in the main plug (mounted on passenger side wheel well, its the connection between inside of the car and engine wiring harness, held together with a bolt). After everything was checked, reconnected and battery installed, car runs very clean, has none of the previous problems.
I realize this list entry is quite old, but I'm wondering if the P2105 ever came back after the work was done?
My '08 S-Type 4.2 just had the same thing happen, so I'm wondering if the problem was resolved in this case.
Thanks
