Default Anyone with engine out or any techs?

Hey guys, in my never ending saga with this jaguar, I need some help with getting a picture. I need to see the flywheel/flexplate/drive plate/whatever-Jaguar-decides-on-calling-it plate for a 2000 s-type 4.0l compared to a 2005 s-type 4.2l. More specifically I need to see the toner ring on the front/crankshaft side of the plate.

I know the plate changed with the change from the 4.0 to the 4.2 but I need to know exactly why the change took place.

I found the 4.0 plate on ebay and can probably look at it in person but I can not find a 4.2l plate anywhere. If any techs have one laying around, know of a picture of one or if any member has their's out of their car for any reason, a picture would be truly helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Did you by chance see if there are any pics in the ZF6HP26 repair manaul and/or information document in the XK8 FAQ thread...check it out.

It seems like all the pics in manuals are just generic sketches. They are not accurate.

Torque converter mounting plates? Found these on ebay motors. 4.2 in 1st pic & 4.0 for 2nd & 3rd. (I think) Hope this helps.

Do you have the link to the listing? The 4.2l one might be right but that loooks more like the 3.0l in the second pic.

Can anyone do a part number cross reference and see if any 4.2l will work on the s-type 4.2l or are they different as well?

I found (& find) more Jaguar parts on motors.ebay.uk & motors.ebay.de. Keep in mind, I only use these sites for references, as I'm sure it would cost waaaay too much to ship from there. I'm pretty sure that the tc plates are the same for the 4.2l regardless of whether it's an 03+ S-type, 03+ XJ, or 06+ XK. (Maybe even the 09 XFs?) Try JPAM also; they're forum sponsors. Hope this helps.
