Default Anyone use a Air Intake Maximizer on STR??

I wanted to know is it worth getting an Air Intake Maximizer to fit in the STR. I'm not even sure Mafioso's Air Intake tubing would accommodate it. But anyhow is this device worth having or its just one of those scams to take your money for POS devices that don't worth? Thanks for the input and here's a link to purchase one for the STR.

Air Intake Maximizer [AIM] : EnginePerformanceChip: Buy Performance Chips for Cars, SUVs, and Trucks.

These things are great if you want to LOSE 30 horsepower.

Looks like more of a restriction to me. I think it was the "Tornado" that started this whole air optimization stuff.

How's this for an answer... My car made 298 rear wheel horsepower with the device installed. With my intake tube installed horsepower jumped to 342. No other changes other than stock intake track and device versus my tube

Many years ago, I was an estimator for a custom job shop sheetmetal mfg. firm. Some guy brought in a "Tornado" thingy to be quoted on for producton. Playing with it, I never could figure out how that thing would do anything to make the claims that were given. Nobody else could figure it out either. PURE JUNK. It only lines the pockets of the people who sell this cr@p.
