Cat bypass. O2 Swenson eliminator’s?
I’m not worried about that. I just want it to run right getting good numbers.
.I’ll send you a pic lol. I figured someone on here has deleted the cats on a 4.2 L….
So it's not emissions legal?
Is it just going to be a track car?
You don't find much about removing the cats because it's not done or needed. They newer cats have little to no restriction. If you are not going to dyno the car before and after your mods how will you know if anything improved?

Youll never get the right reading on your ecm. The cats prove some feedback from those o2 sensors. Plus youll have a check engine light forever for cat efficiency and wrong delay when it tests them And those spark plug extender thingies never work for long
I use 2 spark plug extender thingies (anti foulers) in conjunction my downstream O2 sensors in my DD a Vortec V8. I was forced into a cat delete, it now has 2 straight pipes for the past 4 years. Our great state does not have emission testing. I now have over 326,000 on original motor and trans, never has ran so strong! Delete was somewhere around 230,000 miles.
I have to run mid grade gas or higher to keep the check engine (MIL) from illuminating. My butt dyno loves it, especially with the vehicle weighing in around 7,000 lbs.
