Check Fuel Filler Cap
Hi:
I have a 2004 Jaguar S-type 3.0 V6 ....Getting error code from time to time..."Check Fuel Filler Cap"....The Fuel Cap is properly in place....not sure why...maybe an electrical issue of some kind...I am also getting "Park Brake Fault" code as well...that disappeared...maybe I should go to a Mechanic and put it on an Engine Analyzer... Also..The Engine light is always on..amber color....
Thanks for your help

The 1st thing to do is get the codes read, also check the battery.
I think this has some good info

AFAIK, minor error messages like 'check fuel cap' don't read out directly on a 2004. Where did you get this info?
Have the codes read as suggested by police and let us know. The park brake error is likely the battery as noted.

Any garage will have an OBDII reader- they're standardized across all cars. They may not have the tables to decode the info though.

The gas cap may be a seperate issue, but along with the parking brake fault, it would be prudent to check the battery first.
would be worth hooking it up to a scanner, but generic obd2 reader won't necessarily show chassis-specific codes related to some sub-systems,
