Default Headlights momentarily turn off

I have a 2007 S-Type, with the days getting shorter, I am now driving to work in the dark. The last couple of days once or twice during the trip (30 minutes) the headlights flick off then back on again - I am guessing for about a quarter of a second - really quick. I have checked fuses and relays for tightness - all seem OK.
Does anyone have any ideas?

First of all welcome caterpillar. Please do an intro if you decide to hang around.

You would probably be better posting this question in the S type specific forum to get more eyes on it.

I did a quick search and this turned up:

Welcome to the forum CaterpillarD7e,

I've moved your question from Australia - Victoria / Tasmania Region to S-Type forum. This is the place to post tech questions about your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Default I think I've got it

Thanks everyone for the replies
I'm pretty sure its a contact in the stalk - the last couple of times I've driven at night I have moved the light switch to auto and the problem hasn't occured - fingers crossed.

If it's doing it now I would replace the stalk. The problem will only get worse with time.
