My guess is that a paste was used on the disk drum and now it is like glue. I would see if you could position yourself to pull and wiggle the disk off and get it out of the way. Once removed I would spray the hub with PB Blaster and reinstall the puller. From the photos it looks like you disconnected the hub and the only thing holding it in place is the shaft and the top ball joint. If this is correct then try to add pressure to remove the shaft tapping the shaft and then tighten. Do not strike for fear of damage to the rear dif. If this fails then you may need to remove the shaft from the dif. and remove it all as one piece and take it to the press.
