Jaguar s type steering column locked
About a week ago I was out of town, sat down to start the car and then the steering wheel was locked, well, I read the forums and realized that it could be dead battery. I lit the Jaguar and drove home, bought a multimeter, measured the battery and actually died. I decided to immediately replace it with a new 95 amp battery, bought it and installed it. BUT THE PROBLEM HAS NOT GONE The steering wheel is locked, there are clicks, but the steering wheel will not unlock and the car will not start. I have no idea what to do because the battery is NEW. I NEED TO START A CAR!.
I've almost given up and would be happy to any help to start my car.
Thanks
also I upload a video with my problem to YouTube

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear the car is giving you trouble.
Make sure the new battery is fully charged. They are typically not fully charged at time of sale.
The next possibility is the security system has entered a theft protection mode for reasons unknown. Look at the security system indicator at the base of the windshield. Lock the car with the key fob. Press the lock button a second time to set the alarm system. The horn should chirp once. Watch the little red light. It should flash once every few seconds to show the system is armed. Now press the key fob unlock button twice to unlock all the doors. The red light should go out. Now hop in the driver's seat and turn the key to RUN (Not start yet). The red light should come on solid ONCE for about 3 seconds and then go out. If it flashes anything after that, you've got a stored fault and the security system may be trying to protect the car.
