Linden Hall Corvettes & Jaguars Show + 1 year
Some of us did this last year as a forum meetup organized by ChrisX. Had a great time meeting a bunch of great guys. Well tommorow is the day and once again I made the deadline. The Corvette just got legal this week. I still needs some more detail work since it didn't have the charmed life Lauries car did. Man is it a sweet ride though!! So, we will be there with his & hers this year.

She looks great Jim! Nice work! Enjoy the show. Hope you win for both of them!!
Sorry Rick, I have been in and out of town so much lately I couldn't commit to attending the show again this year. I didn't want to start something then not be able to show up. I've been running back and forth from DC to Philly to NYC to Wilkes-Barre and all over the place for work. Maybe next year I'll have my act together!
Jim- I'm hoping to get to the BCD show at Hartwood - hope to see ya there. And probably the Pittsburgh VGP as well.

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't mention this sooner. Wouldn't have been anything to organize really since Chris had all the info last year. Oh well, I'll get the dates for PVGP and Hartwood to see if there is any interest.
Rick, I'll get some pics up in the thread I have in Other Cars. Thanks for the compliments. Not looking to win anything. I'll just be happy to drink a beer and sit looking at them and not working on them!

Back from the show. A lot different from last year!! Linden Hall stuck us out in a picnic pavilion area with a mix of gravel, grass and dirt from recent water line installs. Not as many cars and mostly Vettes. We thought there would be food like last year so didn't pack any. So we improvised and Laurie ordered a pizza for delivery. Actually they said this is the last year for the event after 18 years...too bad.
Now for the good news...no the Vette didn't get an award. I didn't see that happening since it needs details and some pieces are still missing. But...Laurie placed with the S Type and is tickled pink with her made in China trophy. Better yet ( the way I see it) she won the 50/50 at 145 bucks. Guess who's buying the beer!!!
Here's us on the show field and I do mean field.
And here she is doing prep work yesterday.

Awesome! Congrat's Jim, please extend my congrat's to Laurie as well, I know she loves that car and has to be thrilled!
If I remember right, last year's show wasn't in the location that it "usually" was held - I think for some reason they moved it, which turned out to be a good move. Sorry to see they didn't stick with that setup. No food? Wow...I wonder what the issue is with this meet. It's for a great cause and seemed to have good support, at least last year anyway.
The Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix British/International Car Day is Saturday July 21. It's also qualifying day for the Sunday races, so there will be plenty to do and see. Info: PVGP Unveils 2012 Schedule | Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
British Cars at Hartwood is September 30th. This is a nice event on the smaller side of the scale - maybe about the size of the Linden Hall event last year. Nice setting in North Pittsburgh suburbs.

Thanks for finding and posting that info Chris.
Basically what I heard was that the organizers got no help at all from Linden Hall. They had something else going on at last years location and stuck them out in the sticks. There was a large pavilion with recently installed city water and restroom facillities. There was also a large charcoal bbq deal but no one was cooking.
I also heard that the same couple had been doing this event for all it's 18 years. They had orginally started it as they also own both a Jag and Vette. But I suppose they are burned out and no one else wants to take it over. Too bad. I'm not a huge car show guy but this was so close and we now find ourselves with one of each. Oh well.
Rick, she say's if you ever get back up this way, the first one's on her.
