i have an stype my03 with gps Module, same system as in the photo below



Is it possible to add an aux-in Line-in for my system, in order to listen music via my smartphone?

you can also add the cable to the CD Changer in the boot/trunk . there is a how to some were on here ,
or try to purchase an ACM which is the very expensive factory option . if you can find one .
then there is the less than ideal FM modulated type also .

My car came with the ACM but mysteriously WO the the USB? I've used it to connect an MP3 player I have and it's great but the interface to operate it from the dash is kludgy, you're simulated as a CD and then you're MP3 player or whatever makes selections via it's system control. Sound quality is first rate though.

It also has an Ipod cable which I tested way back in 2010? and it's kind of funky to operate as well. I used a Sandisk MP3 player.

Anyway, there are plenty of threads about all of this search or Google it. It's dead end technology now that everyone is utilizing bluetooth.

 

As i understand it, installing this small machine could be an option PXDXJAG Auxiliary Input Adapter for Select 2000-02 Jaguar S-Type :: Auxiliary Input Adapters
It is however not clear to me if this also works works for the type-s cars after 2002.

 

Doesn't look to apply to the very cars which are the subject of this thread!

yes the veff box. i have one . it is a cool bit of kit . but unfortunately no longer available .

 

i also have installed one of these . far better sound than a parrot . but not quite as crisp as the veffbox.
