Default No Communication with TCM

Hallo,
I want to reset the gearbox control (ZF 6HP26) on my 3.0L S-Type, built in 2003, Mod.2002.5. WDS and IDS report "no communication with TCM". Technically, the control unit works. It switches up and down, everything is OK. That shows that the communication between the ECU and TCM is working, but not via the OBD port (OBD Port is definitely OK). The connector on the gearbox has been checked. Everything is OK.
What can I test? Are there ways to measure certain cables?

Regards, Willi

You can do a canbus test at the obd2 socket using a multimeter. You can also check voltage and grounds at the connector. When i did it i googled canbus check at obd connector using multimeter. There are a few really good walk thrus on it

Be aware that some clone cables do not support the full functionality of IDS. You need the Mongoose PRO cable. Apologies if you already have this.

Hello,
I'm going to measure the OBD socket again. Although everything else can be done via WDS. I actually only have a clone cable for IDS, which is only intended for use on the go or for reading. There's a WDS in the garage.
I wanted ideas like: measure cable X to Y. That's the cable from device X to Z. Unfortunately, I can hardly read circuit diagrams, or I don't understand the different networks, so I don't know which cables go from the OBD connector to the TCM.
I would be very grateful for help.

Best wishes, Willi

The TCM is on the CAN bus, which is pins 6 & 14 of the DLC (the OBD socket).
