I have an 02 S type 3.0L. Car will start and run but when I shut it down such as stop at a store. When I come out after approx 15-30 mins. Car will crank but not run. If I wait 30-45 mins after the crank/no start it will fire up and run. Car will replicate this problem almost every time. If I disconnect battery and charge overnight. It will crank but not run. But when I wait 30mins later it will fire up and run.

 

If you can use an OBD tool, have a look at the 2 temperature readings (ECT & IAT) when it's OK & when it's not.

It may also be your "crankshaft position sensor" as these can fail and sometimes not throw a code. You also might also ask a Moderator to edit your thread topic, as not knowing any techs in the Garden State, I nearly gave the topic a "pass"... I am pretty sure others might do so as well.
