Default Replacement for busted water outlet pipe s-type 4.0 Jaguar part number AJ85884

Anyone have to replace a water outlet pipe for a 2000 S type 4.0?

The part seems impossible to find new or used. I’m wondering if the XJ8/XKR 4.0 L version would fit. It looks the same in photos, but one nipple is larger. If it otherwise fits, I figure I could modify a hose to compensate this size difference.

Botttom photo is XJ8 version

The coolant outlet (heater feed for the AJ26/AJ27) is the only thing different about the outlet pipe you need. (AJ28)

I did not realize they were unavailable recently.
Wish I had known so I could have stocked a few for customers.(I have a few with AJ28 engines)

Default Thank you motorcarman for your response and confirmation.

I was also shocked to know the part can’t be found in stock. Really didn’t want to go used since I figure if mine busted, other original ones may be getting fragile too. Going to give the XJ8 version a try.
