Hello S-Type owners,

Would one of you a parts list for the rear diff in a S-type. I need factory part number for the axle shaft bearing and the axle shaft seals..

Thanks in advance.

It's at the forum top or you can go to a forum sponsor.

There are others on the net.

I looked, shows the seal but not the bearing. Jaguar doesn't not offer it, they want you to purchase a new diff.

Will keep digging.

Have you disassembled the differential yet? Haven’t touched one from Jaguar, but have replaced bearings in other differentials, transmissions, etc. In almost all instances, the bearings originally came from Timken, Koyo, ITN, SBK, etc. I took the old parts to a bearing supply house, where they quickly matched them up with new, either by part number or dimensions. Same thing with seals, too.

I have a Ford 8.0 with Limited Slip and 2:88 gears installed out of a Lincoln LS, the Lincoln drive shafts and a pair of S-Type R drive shaft that I want to install in my 2005 XJR.
The input shafts for the S-Type R are smaller diameter than the Lincoln drive shafts. So I was hoping to get some part numbers to check the inside and outside diameters.

I have a 2006 S-Type that I am parting (Cracked Block) but do not have the rear carriage out of it yet.

I will get to it eventually.

Thanks for your help.

Try here. Keep in mind that the Gen 1 & Gen 2 differentials have no interchangeable parts besides the ring & pinion. You gotta do a complete swap of the rear axle assembly to use the Ford 8" LSD in a Gen 1 carrier, or just use a Quaife LSD in your stock Gen 2 diff carrier. Also, where did you find 2.88 gears?
