Default Steering wheel moves by itself

Hello everyone, I'm new in the forum ad enthusiastic new owner of S-Type V6 3L 2000y / 135k km. Everything seems okay. Only one problem: when opening the car with the remote control, the steering wheel moves by itself, lifts up and back in. I also noticed that the seat and steering memory does not work perfectly. What could be the cause of this problem? Thank you for your help.

Thank's a lot motorcarman for your suggestion. The fact is that the switch on the column is already on OFF.... The steering wheel moves with "random" movements ...

Have you tried re-saving your preferred steering wheel/seat/wing mirror settings ?

turn it back to 'on', set your preferred seat and steering setting, press the 'memory' button till it lights up, and choose the 1 or 2 button. I think that's the sequence.

Start checking wiring, especially from the Auto switch you say is off - right back to the module.

The workshop manual & electrical guide will be invaluable.

Unhappy

Thank's JagV8. All the wiring seems OK. But there is one new thing: now it seems that the seat (driver) also moves (back, slightly) when I use the remote control. On the other hand, I noticed a high oddity: when I open and close the door with the key (not with the remote control) the steering wheel and the seat do not move. What is happening to my Jag?

The key & fobs (car came with 2) are different. Inevitably all keys are cut the same (ignore valet) whereas each fob can have its own settings.
