Default two questions

First I looked in the manual, how to link and did a search with no results.

First question. Is there any other brake fluid aside from the Jaguar brand recommended by the manual that I can use?

Second question. Isn't there a thread or link to a VIN lookup? I remember seeing it once. This lookup I'm speaking about gives you all the specs on your car.

I think VIN decoder is in General Tech forum
It's quite basic but jag will tell you far more if you ask.

+1 to emailing Jaguar. They will provide a comprehensive list of your car's features, even down to what sound system you have, what color the car is, what interior you have, etc.

That being said, the info Jaguar provided me was COMPLETELY WRONG. I even checked to confirm my VIN had not been tampered with. They were nice enough to double-check it, but insisted what they provided me was accurate. So buyer beware. Jag's info wasn't even close, and they offered no theory as to why.

Lots of people have done this (especially members of the UK site) and you're the first I've seen in nearly 5 years who's reported they had the wrong data. Fascinating but perplexing.

Perplexing, indeed. They had several items wrong, including color scheme, wheel size, 5 disc CD changer, and navigation. These items clearly had not been altered by the previous owner.
