Default Why won't this work?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could tell me, what changed after vin M45254 that won't allow me to use a 2000-2004 S Type hood for my 2003 STR?

Thanks For Looking,

Calvin

okay I found a hood from a 2003 S-type R the same body color as my car. But the guy is telling me it won't fit my car because my VIN number is too high M76805 is the last 6 of my Vin. What Is So Different?

So Both 03 STR's Could Have Different Hinges? Seems Odd..Thank You So Much Police666! Anybody Else Have Any Ideas, Or Can Confirm The Hinge Idea?

Odd. I'd have guessed (be afraid!) that nothing changed at that VIN.

Er, how certain is the info???

He may be certain, that doesn't mean he's right. Jaguar parts catalog says the S-Type bonnet [without bonnet leaper] is the same part from VIN M45255 to VIN N13088.

That tells me you are probably good with that part.

Cheers,

Yes this is very true but, because of his Certainty.. I get no guarantee with the hood.

If you want a second opinion, run by a body shop and ask to look at their crash book. Look up the bonnet for both VIN's. See if they don't come up the same.

Cheers,
