Hello.

Was looking at a 2007 s r and was expecting to see a vin sticker with the color code for paint and interior colors on the body below the a pillar (with door open).

There was some sort of square 'sticker' present, though appeared 'blank'; possibly I need to look again.

On the driver door inner skin was a long vertical bar-code VIN sticker. All the body panels/doors had matching VIN number stickers along with the one 'tag' on the dash near the A pillar.

Do the s types have the stickers in the same location as the 04-09 XJ series (which I am more familiar with)?

Mine does, at least the Canadian version of the sticker. It's on the A pillar.

my 03 str has the label your picture shows on my left hand a pillar !

although to clarify mine is practically blank in compassion to your picture , only vin , paint and trim!
and many blank squares.

 

 

I found a pic of an 07 for sale on line and this is a sticker more like I recall.

Is there a difference in the type of sticker based upon the year or is the 'vertical bar code' vin on later cars (in addition to the one on the A pillar)?
