Default ABS Light On

Hi everyone! I need some help with my 2003 Jaguar X Type (AWD). The problem started some time ago. I hooked up the scanner and the code that came up was P1267. Any idea what could be the problem

"P1267 Cylinder #7 High To Low Side Short."

I have no idea what that means.

Here's a List of Diagnostic Codes elsewhere on this forum. and look in the sticky threads, lots of good info there.

I think you are supposed to clear all the codes since you don't know how old they are and then see which ones come back.

The reason for a P1267 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low.

Your ABS light on makes very little sense.

ABS codes start with C, you need a scanner, which can read ABS codes.

Default ABS Light On

Thank you very much for your input! I am so Sorry for sending you an incorrect fault code. The actual fault code is C1267 not P1267. This code coma up if an internal failure has been Detected inside the module. The ABS light comes on immediately after turning the key on, and stays on even when the engine is running.

Few days ago I replaced the both the ABS module and pump with matching numbers. The problem was solved for few minutes but came back again.

The forum is my last hope.

Code comes up as weither an ABS or DSC Internal modulator valve fault, fo whatever that is worth.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aut...des/c1267.html

You can also download the workshop manual under "stickies". It has a diagnostic flow chart to run down this fault code.

I got 5 used abs modules, only 2 of them were good. Do not mess with pump, onlyt buy and replace modules. What was a code after replacing module?
