I don't know for sure, but since it has a one way air valve on it, it might be for vacuum operated accessories inside the car. If it was for a computer, I don't think it would have that valve in it. I tried looking at my car, and it just disappears into the darkness. Sorry not to pull things apart for you. Maybe try one of this sites manuals, or a part number book to see where it goes......Be cool...Mike
The line with the grey non-return valve is the brake servo vacuum line. The one below it is from the evaporative emissions purge valve, on the bulkhead/firewall, to the inlet manifold.
Here is a link I started when I had the same question: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-cable-132458/
It includes pictures and also the part numbers you will need to replace it.

i had a vacuum line leak and i have replace both the brake booster hose and purge hose and still have this hesitation/jerk on the car. Starts at about 15 mph when it hesitates and theirs NO CEL? Need help not sure what it is causing it unless i still have a leak somewhere but NO CEL is on. Could i have done other damage or is their a quick fix i might be able to do? any help works and thank you all
Other places for vacuum leaks are the gaskets/seals between the upper and lower inlet manifolds, the two intake manifold tuning valves, a defective purging solenoid valve.
While not really 'vacuum' leaks, splits in the air intake system between the MAF and the Throttle body or the crankcase breather hose from the front cambox cover to the intake manifold can have the same effect. When they do split, it seems always to be on the underside, out of sight!!
Have you had the fault codes read? Any guidance there?

ill be taking my car to get the fault codes read soon.. I did get this new light on the dash that I never seen before. I was getting this red exclamation point on my dash twice today. I turn the car off and turn it back on and had disappear. when it had the red exclamation point it was driving more worse than it was before. at 15mph it was hesitating, felt like the idle drag before it took the gear. I press the gas and it just idle but wouldn't go till it shifted. Have any idea what that red exclamation might be.
thnx for help astromorg

That warning light is for an engine or autogearbox fault. Some faults limit the engine speed and autogear changing to prevent damage; it sounds like that is why the engine is hesitating.
The sure way to find the cause is to get the fault codes read. When you get them, post them here and members can guide you to putting things right

thnx astromorg I do really appreciate your help.. I wont be able to get the fault codes read and will have to wait till Monday.. Can I have any auto repair shop read these codes or do I have to go to the dealership? Also does the red exclamation light need to be on for them to scan? my CEL also came on this morning but the red exclamation light is gone and hasn't came up.
Fault codes should be available until either the battery is disconnected or the codes deleted with a scanner.
A good scanner will pick up all the basic powertrain codes, but a Jaguar enabled one is required for many of the non powertrain codes such as ABS or climate control
