You should buy my car!!! No rattles, no mechanical or physical problems, and still under factory warranty!

I'm getting 2 new cars. a 2006 S-Type R and a 2007 Lexus GX470 SUV.

wow. im glad there are people who are actally happy with these
POS's. around 20,000miles look for oil leaks. I am a Jaguar technician. I have an x-type right now in for an oil pan gasket at 21,000 miles. my 98 chevy has 133,000 on it and hasn't leaked from the oil pan yet. what the hell?
also items to be aware of. oil leaks from the crankshaft seal. rear suspension bushings. the interior peeling away from the inside of the car. transmission problems.
after working on these things. the x-type is by far the worst quality vehicle of the jaguar models.

Guarantee he's already replaced the exhaust on it! GMC's trucks all seem to have that problem! How come you work on jags if you hate them so much?

Hey mac I'd look at that red one yeah it might stand out more but that has everything and its very a very good price plus it has the warranty for a couple more miles. You could buy the warranty through jag and still be saving some money vs. other ones. I'd buy that if I had my other car paid off!

Look at it this way - if he's a Jag tech, all he sees is broken ****! How many hundreds or thousands of vehicles HASN'T he seen with a problem?

NTI(Not To Idiot), thanks for your honesty. Now we know not to buy your POS! Not everyone has problems with these, and before you come on the forum ripping the car about leaks and ****, think that maybe you're the only one that has complained of such a problem. Maybe it's just you're careless when driving the car, and drove all the way up onto the concrete blocks at shopping malls and smacked the **** out of your oil pan! If your Chevy doesn't leak is because it's so far up off the ground. If you're a Jag tech, then you should know that tranny oil can't really last FOR LIFE. Change it and watch the tranny last longer. At some point you have to changed it! The only thing credible you've said is the crappy interior. Nothing that a little crazy glue can't fix. Also, at twenty something thousand miles, you should be able to get your interior replaced if it's falling off, because you should still have warranty. So much for a Jag Tech! What a fake!

Go Biggie I'm with you! Why come on here and complain, we know what these cars are like....we generally own and drive them! Don't we?

By the way if you worked at a GMC dealership you'd hear all of the complaints about them considering thats all you would work on! Go work at a chrylser dealership if you want a better car or perhaps a mercedes dealership than you'd really have something to complain about! Worst of all manufacturers!

Anybody else notice that the price of the x-type is almost half the price of other jags?

Well, that's what ford intended to do. Make an affordable Jag that is still relatively reliable. Mission Accomplished.
