Default ignition coil test

Hey guys good day to you all, hope this new year is going good for you so far.
I have a question, do any of you know how to test ignition coils with a multimeter? really appreciate any info on this. thx!

Luis, there is not a lot of testing that you can do to a coil. You can try doing a few checks between a few coils touching the same pins on each coil to see if there is any significant difference (all readings should be within 5% of each other). But, electronics operate differently when you start subjecting them to 40KV that you won't be able to see with a standard multimeter.

Luis: Thermo is correct, you can't detect leaking high voltage. This is what I did when I had the intake off.I measured each coils resistance of each set of pin.There is two control coils pins and two high resistance coil pins. Write down each set and compare them against each other.I can't remember specific numbers but I know the low readings of the control circuits were close and the high volt coils were within a 1000 Ohms so I knew they were ok.If you find one that is different put it back on on bank 2 so you can access it easier later.

You have to buy a tester for a proper test.
