Default Intake Manifold Part

First of all I am curious what the two black plastic things are on the left side of the intake manifold. One of mine has an air leak and I am trying to figure out the best way to fix the issue. Also could this air leak be a reason my car goes into limp mode every once in a while?

@ bigben your car is experiencing a vacuum leak. that hose probably has a split in it and needs to be changed. this hose is connected to the throttle body that regulates the RPM (Or speed if u want to call it that). This hose will restrict the performance of the vehicle and causing the limp mode or/and cruise not available display to show in the message cluster.Replace the part and your vehicle should return back to normal. let me know if this info. was helpful

Thanks I will check that after I get off work. But I know I have a vacuum leak in the seal around the things bolted in to the left side of the intake manifold, I can hear the air being sucked in there. Whats that part for and whats it called?

If you look at my thread "a couple of problems hope there is solutions" I'm having the same problem as you, you should check it out bc thermo wrote a whole step by step process on how to fix it, he said its fairly easy and it is a DIY solution.
