Pecus Error E (Jaguar X Type - 2003)
1-3-14: Washington DC - I turned my car motor on, and I removed snow. Afterwhich, I noticed this on my display: PECUS ERROR E (with yellow-red flashing). In 10 years of ownership, I have never received this notice. What is the issue - what is wrong?

I've run a forum search to see if we have anything on this error. The only thread I can turn up is this one:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...e-3-0-a-45130/
If it's as simple as a discharged/failing battery then count yourself as very lucky! Certainly worth checking and eliminating this before assuming anything worse.
Other resources are low on information but suggest 'PECUS error' is a programming error and the 'E' indicates it is the ECM (Engine Control Module). This is likely to be a dealer fix or an Indy with dealer level diagnostics.
