First time I have ever had a car broken into. My new Laptop in the trunk is gone as well as my gym bag with valuables inside.

If I get a used window, is it hard to install?

Hey spike.

Sorry for your loss. I have a window for you. And yes they ar somewhat easy to fix. best thing to do is to clean up all the old glass from inside the door. Once you take off the panel, there is a rubber noise barrier. I use a hair dryer to heat it up around the edges so as to not rip it. Its a tar based product so it can be messy. Lower your window till you see the 2 10mm bolts that pinch the window. Loosen these up and clean out the glass in the pinchers. Next take off the inner and outer window moldings on the lower part of the window. This will give you the clearance needed to install the new window. Then from the outside lower the glass into the door making sure its in the pinchers and the side tracks. Before locking down the nuts, roll the window up slow to make sure its in the right spot. Then lower the window ,snug up the nuts and replace everything. It should be about 45 min or so start to finish. Let me know if you need any help.

Good luck,
The Dr!

Sorry Mark, I know the feeling. I had my car broken into and the feeling sucks.

The only thing I'll add to the Dr's instructions is to use a plastic fastener remover tool when removing the interior panel. Depending on your luck, the pink fasteners might come out in one piece, or busted.

Thanks everyone for the sympathy and advise @stuart and &spielnicht

@drdome.. I ended up getting the glass replaced the same day it happened. I am glad I did as that made feel a little better. What I would like to buy from you if you have it though, is the two tiered center console/armrest as they destroyed mine.

What is your interior code. And is it the back seat arm rest or your center console? Let me know I just may have it.

Dr...I send you a PM...

Also does anyone know the part number for the glossy door trim? (Door post) That's where they placed their pry bar and its bend out of shape. Because of the way the part is glued to the car I think it probably will have to be new, as it can not be removed without damaging it ...
