Disco, I am right here.
As for the leaper, I would recommend going to the hardware store and they have a kit there that will be nothing more than a thin steel cable and some round metal barrels (about 10 mm long and may have 2 holes in the center running from end to end, may only have 1 hole). What you will need to do is to cut a piece of cable that is long enough to run through the barrel, through the spring, through the eyelet of the leaper, back through the spring and barrel. From there, using a pair of channel locks or vice grips, you will pull the cable somewhat tight and then crimp the barrel so the cable can not slide. From there, you should be able to reattach the leaper. Worst case, you will have to do all of this with the leaper installed on the hood. IN that case, I would loop the cable through the leaper and then run the two cables through the spring at the same time. The big trick will be getting the right amount of tension on the cable/spring to keep the leaper firmly attached. IF you crimp that barrel right, when the people try to take your leaper the next time, they will be in for a rude awakening as that cable is rated for like 200 pounds. Since you have doubled it up, it will take about 400 pounds of force to make the kitty come loose.
As for the seat, I think that is going to be a wing it thing. The JTIS doesn't talk about the cable at all that I can find. The best advice that I can give you is to pull the seat out and see what the inside looks like. Worst case, take a few pics of what you see and then I will do what I can to recommend a fix.

Disco, you have me a bit confused at the moment. Do you know what is wrong with the car (ie, the specific component) or is the seat just not going forwards and backwards. If you are not sure, then I would tell you to unbolt the seat and then lean it back some. Then, with the wiring still attached, attempt to move the seat forwards/backwards. If you don't see any movement, then odds are you have a bad motor. A quick voltage check across the motor will tell you whether it is a switch issue or a motor issue (ie, if you have 12 VDC across the motor, motor bad, otherwise switch issue). if it is a known issue, then it will be just a matter of fixing the broken part and reassembling. Unfortunately, I can't be of much help there.

NO, the seat moves forward/backward fine, tilt is the problem, the seat only want to tilt one way, and that the back down and front up, i can't get the front o go dow/level off, i migt be the spring shaft issue, but i have no idea what im looking at when i go under there. But ill try tomorrow and let u guys know
