Water in spare wheel well 2010 Xtype estate
Hi folks,
Anyone experienced water ingress in the spare wheel area of an XType estate?
Looked last week and had about 3 inches!
I have also noticed that the rear washer is not spraying water onto the rear screen. Wondering if anyone else has had problems with the tubing running to it? The pump is working fine and a slight dribble of water is evident.
Wondering if the water is leaking into the wheel well!
Before I start stripping internal body trim out any previous experience or comments would be helpful.
Thank you!
Charlie

Welcome to my world!! very common fault in the estates, watch your reverse sensor module in the wheel well, they are prone to fizzle if they get wet!! I tried everything I could think to stop the leak, but by consensus bought a new tailgate seal, problem solved!!
Yes that's my first thought. Looks like an interior strip down to check. Thank you

Yes there are actually six grommets in my spare wheel area. One is out to drain water until source of water ingress dealt with. May be rear washer feed pipe broken or perhaps the tailgate seal. I'll start with washer pipe as clearly there is a problem there anyway. Thank for responses guys.
Yes I think you may have the answer. Will investigate whether rear screen water feed pipe is the problem first as a smaller job to fix. Thank for the reply.
