Unhappy XF260 dead after jump start

Hi, i have the following problem with my xf260 from 2017:
after the battery was dead i tried to jump start the car. As it was neither working with one jump starter in the front nor in the back, directly to the battery, i used two jump starters.
It was still not working... only the pointers in dashboard flipped a few times.
Than i got a new battery, after installing it the car is still not moving anyhow
i can open and close it with keyfob and when i close the door, the start/stop key is flashing
Dashboard, touchscreen and all other eletrics are dead. Even when i try to close the trunk there is only a "beep"-sound.
Do i kill any Controlunit or any other idea?
I cannot even close the windows, they opened as i hold the open button
Thanks a lot in advance!
Kind regars from Germany

Hello fabi93.
You might check the earth cable and make sure there is a good connection at both ends. Otherwse maybe find somebody with a code reader. It will tell you what the problem(s) might be.

Hi fabi93,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

My first guess is that one or more fuses have blown. Perhaps even one of the large megafuses. I'm not sure where the megafuses are in the X260, but in the X250 they are in the battery junction box.

Cheers,

Don

Don B might have a point especially if your code readers won't connect. This video shows you the location of the fuse boxes and the rating/description of each fuse.

I Will check the minus. I checked all fuses already with multimeter.
the fuse box on the passenger side doesn‘t have any current.
maybe this is the fault of its because the ignition cannot be turned on.

Was the battery dead forcing you to try a jump start, did you measure the voltage? Did you stop the car and then it wouldn't start when you tried it? Fuses and grounds are my first guesses but it sounds like you checked them. Did water get into the trunk/boot?

Did you check the megafuses as well as the regular fuses in the fuse boxes? These are the large 250A and 400A fuses that protect the circuits to the various regular fuse boxes.
