Unhappy Can i find this part somewhere?

Hello guys,
so i have a 2009 Jaguar FX supercharged and i've been using it for a 1~2 years. Yesterday i noticed that the long black plastic behind the dashboard as seen in the picture below is broken. Im not sure how did it broke and i want to fix it somehow to replace it. So my question is, is there a way to replace this part? can i buy this part only without buying anything else? i hope you guys can help me!

It looks like it must be part of the entire dash, which makes it insanely expensive.

Junk yard sounds like the only good option.

You could try to epoxy it back together, with some sanding and paint it would look new and only cost a few bucks.

I think that a very careful epoxy job would be your only option. I just had my entire leather dash replaced and that strip is a part of the dash. Sorry.

Really?? You couldn't get the piece off a wrecked car in a junk yard?

Your car is newer than mine but I found that the plastic has degraded from the sun so used parts will be in the same condition. They will be easy to break removing and trying to reinstall them.

I am surprised the front defroster/demister panel is not separate from the dash? Almost all cars are made that way. But that parts diagram shows it to be part of the instrument panel itself. That's hard to fix!

So what if a 2014 was wrecked and in the junk yard? Or a 2011 was wrecked and in the junk yard and it had been parked in a covered garage day and night?

Don't need one, and I am not the one saying it can't be found, so let us know when you don't find one after trying, smart ***.
