Just had my muffler guy cut out the 2 Jag resonators and weld in a stainless X pipe, the sound is awesome, car revs faster and pulls harder. Gotta get a track day in SOON!

Any drone? On my previous Lincoln LS V8 i replaced the resonator with an X pipe muffler and while it sounded amazing, the drone was near unbearable

Wow that looks awesome. Your muffler guy should start selling these. Did you have to retune for it? Curious about highway drone as well?

Plenty of manufacturers/sellers of these X-pipes, including MagnaFlow, for example see here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-10791

Did your tone change? Curious how it would be with the Mina you have and x-pipe.

That's awesome!

How much did that set you back?

I was thinking of doing the same, but adding flowmasters in the back

Also - Is it a 2.5"?

I currently have the mina axle-back and x-pipe (replaced both resonators). It drones really bad during 1500 Rpms. I will be having the mina axle-back replaced by Spires Stage 2.

P.S: Drone is really unbearable for N/A 5.0 2012

Are you sure? It drones really bad in the cabin. And by the way, the mina muffler was welded because of the fitment issue. I'll take the picture of it to give you a pocture.

I have the stock exhaust other than deletion of the two resonators, X-pipe, and valves welded open on the stock mufflers. Love the sound!! Didn't notice much in terms of performance gains but its hard to notice small HP gains with a car making close about 580hp.

Looks great and yes, you car is amazingly clean on the underside! lol

West coast cars got it easy with low grime and no road salt to deal with, plus I don't drive Higgins in the rain, if possible.
