Does the Quaife diff come complete? Generally you only get the Torsen cage from Qaife and you need a diff to put it in, no?
As well as a new prop shaft.

I don't know why those seals don't fit.

It states in the Jaguar parts catalogue that the diff on XF's up to VIN R41865 uses the XR821244 axle seal. Yours is in that VIN range...

R41866 onwards is when the diffs were changed to the GKN ones, which has the different driveshafts and propshaft...

Finding a 2nd hand diff to suit is not so easy because the XF 4.2 S/C uses a 3.07:1 ratio, which is different to the N/A models, and also different to the XKR and the V8 X350 & S-Type. The only other models to use 3.07 were the diesels (which you don't have in the US) and some manual transmission S-Types (rarer than the XF SV8)

If you can find a 3.31:1 diff which is much more plentyful it should be possible to reprogram the car to accept the new ratio now (in the past we could not do this).

even if the axle seal fit i am still going to have a leak……I would need a new axle and still have yet to address the true root cause of the leak and why the axle is wearing.

Ah, but he has a set of undamaged gears. All he needs is the case and carrier with undamaged stubs to insert his gear set into. Would that be so?
