Reflash question.
Can a stock 2013 XF supercharged 5.0 at 475hp (US spec) be simply reflashed with the XFR (510 hp) or XFR-S (550 hp) program to obtain the performance spec of that version?
If so, will the dealership do it (for a fee of course)? Will if void the Warrenty if the dealer does it and uses the factory maps?

Yes it can be done. To XFR spec requires no modifications but R-S spec will require some exhaust modifications (x-pipe or h-pipe in place of the front muffler).
As for affecting your warranty, the key here is that a factory tune loaded with the factory diagnostic system will not leave any fingerprints that any changes were made. Aftermarket tunes leave an uneraseable code P167F-00 "Non-OEM Calibration" but flashing an R or R-S tune properly, will not leave that code.
A dealer cannot & will not do this for you. There are some people out there who can though... it's just a matter of finding them...

Do you know where they're getting the x-pipe from?
The X pipe will be custom made to be able to swap back to stock if needed.
I will get pics.
I take it in Saturday to be looked at, might have to order parts before work is performed, hope it is simple.

Does that code come up with any OBDII reader or only on the dealer diagnostic scanner? Don't think mine shows that code, but maybe I'm not looking at it with the right equipment.
The code is only visible with the dealer JLR SDD diagnostic system, generic OBD2 readers won't pick it up.

Even putting a different OE flash in using OE software will change the CALID (calibration ID), won't it?
I think yes and consequently it is detectable and thus could affect warranty.
The CALID can be read using an ordinary OBD tool like an elm327 if a few people want to see what they have for the various PCM software. (The TCM has another CALID...)

Putting the original software back in should restore the CALID. I think.

I don't think anyone knows how to do that. It's not a file name. It's embedded inside the binary.
Reflashing as in the OP will not change the CALID to match the original one. It'll show that the wrong software is in the PCM.
Anyone up for trying it and reporting back?

I didn't mean just changing the file name, it's much more complicated than that. Checksums and so on. If you can edit the content of the original files used by SDD then it's very possible, and it has been done. Not just anyone can do it, but we know the guy who can.
