Hi gents. Has anyone experienced on their SC. IS it just a simple thermostat replacement ?

 

Thermostat might be stuck open. Swap it out.

 

It's such a cheap repair I would change it and see what happens.

You don't get cheap repairs on a Jaguar very often!

Thanks guys...picked one up today at Jag 61 bucks with gasket...you right!!! Got away cheap!...and checked water pump price cause I hear some squealing Only 128 usd !

 

So seems thermostat needs changing approx 30-40000 miles according to some research . Comes from Jag in pieces , never seen that before. An internal rubber gasket wares out due to hot and cold fluctuation and becomes mis-shaped causing open state and no correct temp build up...
