Default thinking about changing cars! what do u think

saw this bad boy when I went in for service out on the used lot. this is the rarest color CTS V, and I just love the yellow brakes, going to test drive it tomorrow, this car is sharp and a beast.

Your signature does not undicate you are a Jaguar owner. If you were I would never be able to understand downgrading from that to GM iron, no matter what it called itself. Never.

Default Try it but

Do yourself a favor and try the true competitors in that category as well. I was all about the CTSV until I drove the RS XF. The R is not strong enough to compare with the CTSV.
the others I would say to try are M5 and AMG 63 (CLS or E).

believe I have driven them all. I am coming from a 2009 v10 m5, that car was so raw and aggressive, I like my XFR compared to that car because of the torque. All my friends have M4s M5s and AMGs, I am not biased towards any manufacturer so to say the Caddy is junk is a little crazy. I have never been a follower, just want to be different, and actually I think it's the best bang for the buck on the market. there is something special about driving this jag I must admit, and that's the only reason why I didn't leave with that Caddy the same day. I'm still in deep thoughts about going to get it though, that car feels insane and has so much potential.

well, if you dont want to be a follower then the jag is the way to go, at least in my neck of the woods, they are few and far between compared to the others you mentioned.... that CTSV is fast as chit though....for me i like the luxury ride with the power and a Jag is well a Jag.....

The CTS-V is a better platform for modifying if you are going that route. My last car before the XFR was a modded and tuned CTS 3.6DI Premium. I test drove the CTS-V and the ATS as possible replacements before I ended up in the Jag. I chose the Jag because of its overall fit and finish being much better, the exclusivity (I see more Teslas on the road here now than I do Jags) and the overall package of performance and comfort. I also had a lot of little quality control issues with my CTS, I could go on and on about it but the CTSV is basically the same car with a better suspension, brakes and a bigger motor. I don't trust GM cars for longevity or build quality....browse the Cadillac forums and you will see what I mean.

You made a good choice with the XFR. If you had to go GM I would go for a Z06 because you know it will be crazy fast and you won't care as much when the leather starts peeling off the seats and the trunk brake lights start to leak.

This is my opinion but that CTSV coupe reminds me of that Pontiac Aztec. Sorry, maybe it's just me... If you like it then go for it. If you want a fast car you can mod then the CTSV might make sense. If you have the money get the 2016 CTSV. I'm not sure why you'd ever need to mod the 2016 with 640hp (3.7sec 0 to 60).

Didn't you just get the XFR?

Unless you were to use your car for a weekend track car, I would stick with the Jag. Yes the Caddy is a beast and has lots of potential. But the quality of the car for its intended purpose is not of the same value as the Jag. I have friends that have that car and constantly are complaining that it is in the shop. Additionally, they have been getting traffic citations a little more frequent. Somehow that GM beast attracts attention from law enforcement. I have a few beast Corvettes in my stable and drive them as such. But as a daily driver that still has the ability to get up and go, my Jag still is at the top of the list of being driven the most.

As a former GM guy I say if you like that Stealth blue CTSV coupe go for it, the LSA is a great motor to mod and power can be had right from the other (Chevy) GM parts bins or after market (http://d3groupinc.com/ Been to a couple of D3's open houses and they know their $hit). And you'll need to join this forum.
