How do I re attach the hood ornament? I can only find info on how to re attach the old ones. This is for a 2014 XJ, there is no way to get to the opposite side of the ornament mount to unscrew the base. Can I just use metal adhesive?

A photo would be helpful. I personally have never seen an X351 with an ornament of any type on the bonnet.

No way to access it on the other side of the hood.

If you didn't put that on there, then the previous owner must have. It didn't come from the factory with that.
That said, you could reattach it the way it was probably attached by whoever, just glue it back on.

Yes it was added so we have no way of knowing how it was done.
As posted above it is not stock.

There should be a small spring and cap then add new cable through hole in emblem place through the sping and cap pull tight and add crimp (small circular metal) to end of cable making sure there is tension on the emblem then crimp metal with pliers.

Nope. No way to get to the other side of the base.

Assuming that you're not the original installer of this ornament, have you considered looking for the prior owner of the car, and see how he/she originally attached it?
