Lagonia,
Do you know if that o-ring is a parts store item? I just replaced the aux pump today and have developed a leak from that exact joint. Nice pictures! You were the first person I've found to address those particular hoses and connections.

I have had the same problem,hoses bloated and soft. Was going to cut old off, but the plastic is also suspect on the snap joint to the header tank.
