Unhappy Can a snake get in to a closed car?! :(

Hi guys,
This is kinda unusual question but I don't know where else to go to... My maid has seen a small snake underneath my car and somehow she has missed it So don't know where and what happened to it... So I'm assuming the worst case scenario here...
What if it has gone to the engine compartment? Or underneath the car? It cannot go inside the cabin from those places right? I assume cabin is sealed! Is it ok to wash the engine compartment and the underneath using HP machine?
Thanks

Can it get in the car .... yes. Did it? I would bet No. And unless it is a small poisonous snake and you let it chew on your lip for 20 minutes you should be fine. If it was big enough to hurt you, it probably wouldn't fit in the small hole to get in the car. Rest easy and have a drink.

The snake might have found its way into the frame of the car, or if the car has a belly pan, it might be "chillin' out" there.

Mice found there way inside of my Subaru Legacy, and built a nest in the blower. While that blower was in use! So I would think a determined snake could get into the passenger compartment.

Check for the snake at the cabin air filter.

If you are really worried about it, put a mongoose in the car. It will sniff out the snake, or build a nest like the mice did. lol

Don't power wash the engine. It's better to let the snake have a look around.

+1 to Norri - the amount of electrical problems caused by pressure washing the engine compartment is frightening.
Catch the snake and extract the oil - this Forum documents many uses for it !!

The only way in I can think of is the intake for the heater/aircon. However this way is blocked by the pollen filter.

Snakes are real sneaky and do not want to interact with humans. It probably just slithered away. If it is the engine compartment anywhere....fried snake! I seriously doubt that the snake is in the interior of your car. As mentioned above relax, have a drink and forget about it.

Well you have to feed a Mongoose. After the watching parts of "Snakes on a Plane" I would imagine Samuel L. Jackson is free of any new movie roles and with his experience could lend a hand. But like the Mongoose you may need to feed him. On second thought keep the snake it's safer.

Default Snake in my car

I got in my closed up one car one summer evening a few years ago and as I started backing out of my garage felt a snake at my feet.... You can't even imagine my reaction. I didn't even have the door closed yet and jt slithered out on to the garage floor, I backed out put it in park and ran back into my house thru the front door screaming. Never parked it in the garage again and I've never quite fully recovered from the horrific experience!!!! Yes, they can get inside your car. Somehow.

Snakes can unhook their jaw to flatten head and creep thru small spaces looking for rodents.

In the RV world we use peppermint oil on cotton ***** to repel rodents, might work for snakes. Mothball work but the smell everything up.

Mothballs? How the hell do you see them and how do you get their legs apart?
