Default engine miss x350 where to start

NO code set, obvious miss, blinking CEL, what might it be? Car had been running well.

DO NOT operate the vehicle under any conditions that cause the MIL to flash as catalyst damage is occurring.

Find and correct the misfire(s) before driving the vehicle. Look for oil in the spark plug wells or shorted coil units.

I have had same thing happen. Most likely ignition coil packs bad. If you have OBDII scanner you will get code for cylinder(s) misfiring and possibly code for injector error. Swap a couple of coil packs around and see if error follows the coil previously identified on misfiring cylinder. As previous post says, don't drive it. I did for about 20 miles on our X Type and now have catalyst and O2 sensor errors, waiting for ambition to tear a bunch of stuff off to get at bank1 #1 catconverter, and $$.

Blinking CEL = Stop, Do Not Proceed, Do Not Go, Do Not Collect $200.

Get a COP (coil on plug) tester, find the offending coil(s) & replace. Oil on the coil boot is a tell tale sign of potential issues requiring can cover & coil gaskets.

Keep the old ones in case you buy bad ones.

It is not that uncommon.

Recently bought new O2 sensors and 1/4 was bad!

I recently did buy 8 new coil packs and so far so good.

These are what I purchased. Not the most expensive by a long shot.

We will see how long they last.

I'm considering Bremi (Italian) as I believe this brand to be of good quality/reliability. And I do not want to do this again.

Change is quite simple - 8mm wrench or ratchet, a bit of finesse getting rear ones out thru compact areas. Find which is the bad one and toss it, keep others for future if you plan to keep another 50k miles or more. I have less expensive ones in X Type with 30k on them and just replaced in XJR, both run fine.
