Default Fuel cap click when tightened?

2004 xjr, cap tightens and stops, does not continue rotating and clicking. Is this normal?

Evap issue... ok worth a try. I changed an o-ring on the 4.2 na at the throttlebody entry and I pressed the connection near the strut the hose coming from the evap system in the left wheel well

I have ordered 2 OEM Jaguar gas caps for my 2004 XJR and neither of them click they just tighten down. I thought that was just a Jaguar thing but wish they would click to confirm the seal.

Default Purge

I took off the purge valve, in the left front wheel well, couldn’t blow thru it, hooked it up to 12 volts and it opened I could blow thru it. I can’t hear any hissing, I’m at a loss if it’s not the fuel cap . I’ve put so many hours into this car to bring it back and now this dh$t! The charcoal canister is buried up above the differential.

No . Have a look where the hose enters the back of the throttlebody . There's a O -ring inside

Default Fuel cap

New cap doesn’t click either, just tightens down after 1/4 turn. Still getting 442 and 456 codes, I’m going to have to bring it to someone.
