Default Fuel pump module cross reference?

I think I've finally solved my fuel pressure problem. Apparently the XJR uses a second fuel pump driver module for the second fuel pump, and mine appears dead. That would explain why the car runs fine below about 75% throttle, but the fuel pressure goes away after that. I checked with two Jaguar dealers and they both told me the same thing - that the part is discontinued and unavailable. They both said I'd probably have to scrap the car if I couldn't find a used one.

I don;t like buying used electronics, and this looks like a Ford part anyway. The Jaguar part number is C2C23781, and the part number on the module is 2W9F 9D372 AB. There is also a Ford logo. Does anyone know of a cross reference for this?

I'm sure it's the same part number as the one on mine. It's a Ford part and it almost certainly fits vehicles other than the Jaguar, but which ones? It's no longer available through Jaguar but maybe it is, or a suitable replacement, through Ford.

Hi, did you ever resolve this? I have the same issue. Thanks.

I am not sure but I "think" this Dorman part might work for your car? You have the 4.2L SC V-8 and while the Dorman application chart does not show the XJ with the 4.2L SC engine it does cover the S-Tpe R which also had the 4.2L SC engine. Plus this also fits the 3.0L V-6 as well as a number of Fords.

Does your module look like this? I don't know where this module is located in your car either but it's probably in the trunk somewhere.

If so I would take a chance and see if it would work.
Here is the plug to match up.

They are expensive at around $150 but they are obsolete from JLR and Ford. I did find a brand new one for $50 on EBay.
Dorman Fuel Pump Module

Up to you but a used one could be a solution as these are not terribly failure prone. But if it were my car and I could get a new module for $50 I would take it now!

Can you do us a favor? With the cars getting older everyday and parts going obsolete please report back if that part works or not. A picture of your old module with the part numbers on it would be a great help. I know you need a few more posts before you can upload pictures. I think 10 posts are required.

That could be a critical part in keeping the cars on the road. Plus with Dorman involved the parts will be much cheaper and widely distributed. Now I have had some problems with Dorman and don't consider their stuff equal to OEM parts but if that's all that is available. Well we are stuck using it.

They put these FPDMs in like 10 billion cars the difference is part numbers is because of the bracketry.

Thanks Xalty!
So I did find the correct module and they are very common. That's good to know.
